Frank Chou

Frank Chou’s philosophy to create long-lasting and functional design pieces has quickly drawn the attention of the Chinese and international design world. In 2012, he founded Frank Chou Design Studio in Beijing, China. Under his direction, the studio has focused on the fusion between contemporary design and inspired innovation of the East and the West. Every design piece by Frank Chou Design Studio expresses the pursuit of freedom of design.

Using different materials, scales and atmospheres, the Studio produces pieces that are both decorative and functional. According to Frank Chou, every design piece needs to explore new possibilities and requires macro-design thinking in order to achieve a balance between business, manufacturing, marketing and aesthetic considerations. In addition, promoting Chinese contemporary design is considered by Frank Chou as his responsibility as a designer. Frank Chou has collaborated with several renowned design brands around the world both as a designer and in the role of strategic consultant.
