Story

Flexibility in action – the South Pacific headquarters of international Fortune 500 company Cummins recently underwent a redesign. Wanting to create a flexible workplace for the modern age, Cummins appointed Venko, a Melbourne-based interior design studio with extensive experience in workplace design.

One of the key requests for the company’s new HQ was to undergo a consolidation of two offices into one, while also instilling a flexible and agile environment. Through early engagement with the staff of Cummins, Venko ensured that the final design would meet the needs, and future needs, of all staff.

The new fit-out accommodates 300 staff in an open plan office. The furniture selection played an integral part in establishing this new working agenda for Cummins. The open plan workspace is broken up into a series of workstations, collaborative areas, break out zones, meeting rooms and various supporting spaces. Booths, impromptu stand-up zones and modular seating all come together in this modern agile workplace.
